Economy

We believe that the average person is better informed and less corruptible as a consumer than as a voter at election time. Economic growth and prosperity will be achieved, not by the government centralizing the nation’s economic forces, but by emancipating them. This is best achieved by reducing taxes and cutting government spending. In order for the economy to flourish, people must be free to buy, sell and trade without onerous regulation. To quote President Ronal Reagan, “Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.”

Pro-Life

The Psalmist declared that he was “knit together in my mother’s womb” and that he was “fearfully and wonderfully made.” We believe that life comes from God at the moment of conception. To diminish the unborn is to diminish all life. We hold to the truth that ALL lives, born and unborn, matter and are sacred. Innocent lives of the unborn must be defended at all cost. Any nation which so easily allows for the killing of the most vulnerable and innocent not only has lost its moral compass, but to quote Mother Teresa, “has lost its soul.”

Family Values

There is nothing more basic and fundamental for society to flourish than to protect the basic unit of society which is the family. And as a family, there is nothing more important than parents passing on a generational legacy of faith and values to their children. Unfortunately, our government has instituted policies that have undermined the family and the children in them. These policies must be reversed and we can no longer believe the lie that “It takes a village.” If families are going to survive, it will be because parents, especially fathers, place their families at the highest level of priorities.

2A Rights

The Second Amendment of the US Constitution reads, “A well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” It was placed in the Constitution by our Founding Fathers as a guarantee that the American citizen had the right to fight for his freedom against the tyrannical tendencies of the government. All law-abiding citizens have the God-given and Constitutional right to keep and bear arms without permission being granted from the government. Frederick Douglass, a freed slave, wrote, “A man’s rights rest in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box and the cartridge box.”

Taxes.jpg

Taxes

Someone suggested that the IRS motto should be: “We have what it takes to take what you have.” Unfortunately, that is true as the American people have been fleeced by an all-powerful government that takes what they have rightly earned and redistributed it to others who have not earned anything. And while we recognize that a certain amount of taxes are required to keep a government functioning, the US government has become more dysfunctional with its ever increasing tax burden. We call upon our government to lower taxes as a way to increase productivity, thus bringing in more money to the treasury. Higher taxes are counter-productive to a free and prosperous society and create waste, fraud and abuse. As Will Rogers put it, “It’s a good thing that we don’t get as much government as we pay for.”

Immigration

Inscribed at the base of the Statue of Liberty are these words, “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” The United States has been a beacon of light and hope to the oppressed from around the world with its generosity. We have welcomed millions with open arms, but they have entered legally and have been willing to assimilate in their new country. Yes, we are a country that has been built upon the hard work of immigrants from around the world, but we are also a country that has been built upon the rule of law. As we accept immigrants into our country, they must come legally, follow the rules and pledge their allegiance to the United States of America.

Jobs

One of the most fulfilling things a man can do to boost his self-image is to have a job and do it to the best of his ability. And one of the most meaningful things is that his job be productive as he contributes to the betterment of his fellow man. This is accomplished when the government gets out of the way and allows the market and Free Enterprise system to flourish and hum as a well-oiled machine. Unfortunately, our government has spent a generation or more shipping US jobs overseas with laws that have abridged our freedom to produce and engage in fair and equitable trade. This must come to an end and the American worker must become a priority in all jobs policies.

Education

Hosea 4:16 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Unfortunately, this has been the sad case in America for at least the past 50 years or so. Our schools have been overtaken by the radical left and our children are no longer being educated, but indoctrinated. They have been “dumbed down.” Our government has failed the American children abysmally as they are no longer taught the proper basics of reading, writing and ‘rithmetic or honest American history. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been poured down a black hole that has only enriched bureaucrats, administrators and vendors. Our children are suffering and no longer know the basics nor the truth. The Department of Education MUST be abolished and education decisions must be restored to the local communities.

Government

Ronald Reagan said, “The nine most terrifying words in the English language are: ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help’.” George Washington wrote, “Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master. Never a moment should it be left to irresponsible action.” John Adams said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Thomas Jefferson said, “Most bad government comes from too much government.” Barry Goldwater said, “A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take away everything you have.” Mark Twain said, “Loyalty to country, ALWAYS. Loyalty to government, when it deserves it.”
